Outdoors

Children love to play outdoors, and we make full use of our spectacular outdoor area as much as possible to take part in free-play or big group activities. Set over an acre of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, our outdoors provide an inspiring place for all our children to grow, learn and play.

Whilst playing and having fun outside, our children are also learning about the world around them and developing their physical and social skills. Interacting with the outdoors has been proven to help children develop their motor and cognitive skills whilst having fun and so all age groups make full use of the outdoor area as much as possible.

The safe and secure facilities have equipment to suit everyone, whatever their mood. Our climbing equipment, slides and swings allow the children to release some steam in a safe setting with staff present to offer encouragement and lend a hand. Our impressive range of cars, bikes and scooters means that budding Jenson Buttons can make full use of our paved play area!

All of our children are encouraged to explore the world around them, be it digging around in our large outdoor sandpit, discovering wildlife in our quiet and relaxing nature area or exploring all five senses in our beautiful sensory garden. We also make full use of our vegetable garden, with all the children getting involved in planting and caring for our produce to help them learn about where our food comes from and to provide tasty and healthy ingredients for our delicious home-cooked meals!

Our outdoors is also designed to help develop our children's creativity. Our outdoor art and craft activities give each child a place to paint you a masterpiece to bring home while the outdoor music games gives the budding musicians a place to make some noise.
